The Kadoorie Agricultural School for Jewish students, built at Tabor by the Palestine government with funds bequeathed by Sir Elly Kadoorie, Bagdad Jewish millionaire, was officially opened tonight by High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, chief figure in an impressive ceremony.
The £60,000 bequest for the school was half of a fund left by Sir Elly for educational purposes in Palestine. The other half was used to build an Arab school similar to the one opened at Tabor tonight.
On June 18, 1931, when work on the latter school was begun, the Arab school was already functioning.
