Two American Jewish organizations called today for international action to aid the Jews of Iran following the Baghdad regime’s renewal of executions. Speaking for the American section of the World Jewish Congress, Mrs. Rose Halprin, its chairman, urged the United Nations and all “civilized governments” to “take steps to bring home to Iraq the enormity of its affront to humanity.”
The Rabbinical Council of America, an Orthodox organization, condemned the executions in Baghdad and said it was “shocked by the equanimity with which the civilized world has accepted these brutal murders.”
