Orgainzation of a Jewish Education Association in Milwaukee was effected last week at a meeting attended by representatives of twenty-seven Jewish organizations in the city.
A provisional committee was appointed, consisting of Rabbi Joseph L. Baron, Chairman, representing Temple Emanu-El-B’ne Jeshurun; H. Margolith, representing the Milwaukee Talmud Torah, Benjamin Glassberg, representing the Federated Jewish Charities; Mrs. B. Broude, representing the Conference of Jewish Women’s Organizations; Mrs. Charles Reichenbaum, representing the Council of Jewish Women; Mrs. S. Markson, of the Women’s League for Jewish Education; and Morris Goldberg, of the I. O. B. B.
Rabbi S. Scheinfeld and Joseph L. Baron outlined the phases of Jewish educational problems which will come within the scope of the Association; religious education, Hebrew schools, students’ activities, big brother and sister work, youth education, general cultural activities, and the forum of the Association.
It is expected that within the month, all Jewish organizations in the city will have joined the Association. A meeting will then be held for the election of officers.
