The World ORT Union executive voted here today for further expansion of its programs in France and Israel to meet pressing needs of Jews in those countries for vocational and technical training. Max Braude, director-general, presented a record budget of $15,413,000 for 1968.
Dr. Vladimir Halperin, ORT director, said that “continuing emigration and the requirements of industry in France and Israel make it necessary for us to continue to build up our networks in these countries, quantitatively as well as qualitatively.”
