Representatives of the Yiddish and general press of the city of New York were present at a luncheon given by the American Ort, the society for the spreading of trades and agricultural occupations among the Jews of Eastern Europe, Tuesday, at the City Club, 5 West 44th Street.
Dr. Henry Moscowitz, chairman of the Ort Reconstruction Fund, presided. Simeon Strunsky of the New York “Times”, B. C. Vladeck, Reubin Brainen, William Edlin and Dr. K. Fornberg participated in the discussion.
Dr. L. Bramson, European representative of the Ort. who just returned from a tour in the Middle West reported on the preparations for the forthcoming Ort drive for $1,000,000.
