Forty youngsters from the newly independent states of Africa will be brought to Israel next year to learn trades in Ort schools here, it was announced today. The youngsters will come here in a joint project of the Ort, the Israel Government, UNESCO and the International Labor Office.
The project is described as the first of its kind since it will involve vocational training for teenagers. Generally, scholarships for students from underdeveloped countries are restricted to college undergraduates or graduates.
