Israel’s needs for stepped-up technical training and youth education will receive top priority at the 48th annual national conference of the American ORT Federation this Saturday and Sunday at the Hotel Americana. Dr. William Haber, president of ORT, said that “with the domestic spotlight in Israel increasingly turned on economic development and industrialization, the problems of technologically skilled manpower becomes primary.”
In addition, Dr. Haber stated, “Israel’s greatest home front problem is the strength of its economy and the education of its youth for participation in the country’s progress and survival.” Israel, in its present situation and with its small population, cannot afford the waste of human talent and energy.
