The ORT has opened a school for 290 displaced Jewish youths at Apeldcorn, near Utrecht, it was announced by the organization here.
The school, for dressmaking, and a second one for carpentry and mechanics which will be opened shortly, are located at a children’s village opened by the Dutch Government for some 500 Jewish DP’s. Most of the youths are originally from Rumania. A second and larger group is expected to be admitted shortly, mostly from German DP camps.
