The first ORT vocational training center for Jewish refugees in South America has just been opened in Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to announcement here by George Backer, president of the American ORT Federation. The project is a school for youths and adults giving instruction in 13 mechanical trades. The initial registration totals 142, including 64 boys between 14 and 18 years and 78 men between 18 and 45 years. Additional trainees will be admitted soon.
