A request for a subsidy for the professional schools of the Ort, the Organization for the Promotion of Trades and Agriculture among Jews, and also for increased subsidies for the Jewish secondary and elementary schools was submitted to M. Czepinski, Minister of Education, by the president of the Club of Jewish Deputies. M. Czepinski promised that the Government would grant the required subsidy to the Ort professional schools. But owing to reasons of economy the money which had been included in the Budget as subsidies for the Jewish schools could not be granted by the Cabinet.
The Club of Jewish Deputies, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency representative here is informed, will raise the question of the increase in the subsidies for Jewish schools at the next sitting of the Sejm.
