A three-day conference of ORT country directors concluded here today after intensive discussions of training schools and the value of apprenticeships in vocational training. The 13 ORT country directors at the parley are responsible for the training of over 17,000 students.
Dr. Aron Syngalowski, chairman of the World ORT Union, stressed that as a result of recent developments the relationship between the vocational training school and industry has grown closer. He asserted that the graduate of a trade school where little is produced in the shops is as ill prepared for industrial work as a doctor who has had no access to a clinic in his student days.
