The setting up of a number of ORP vocational courses in Greece was announced today by Leon Denenberg, representative of the organization, who has just returned from Athens. He reported that out of a pre-war population of 80,000 only 9,000 Jews are now living in Greece.

Dr. H. Sonnabend, professor of social sciences at the University of Johannesburg and chairman of the South African section of the ORP, following a survey of the Jews in, France, reported here that the Jewish communities in central and western Europe are now the main source from which Jews in Palestine and elsewhere must draw the “human material to reconstruct Jewish life.”
