A number of Ort hodox members of the Board of Deputies of British Jews at an informal meeting here last night, decided to form an independent Orthodox group within the Board to further Orthodox views in foreign and internal matters and on strengthening religious life in Israel.
The meeting expressed concern over the identification of the presidency of the Board of Deputies with the presidency of the Zionist Federation of Great Britain. Both posts are held by Barnett Janner, who is also a Labor M. P.
