The continued restrictions placed on Jewish religious activities in the Soviet Union were condemned by delegates to the annual convention of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists.
The delegates, in the resolution, called on the Soviet Government to extend to members of the Jewish community in Russia the basic rights to educate their children in their faith, to carry out religious rituals without harassment, to publish freely religious literature, and to rejoin families in other countries if they so desired. The delegates also urged the world intellectual community to join in the protest.
Dr. Seymour M. Glick, director of the division of endocrinology, at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, was elected president of the association.
