The semi-annual convention of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada was opened Monday at the Chovevei Torah Synagogue. Brooklyn. At the opening session. Rabbi Aron Teitelbaum, who returned last week from Palestine, gave a moving description of the August massacres there and told how Chief Rabbi Kook directly accused the Acting High Commissioner of responsibility for the massacres.

At yesterday’s session, the Lubawitscher Rabbi was the guest of honor of the convention, which was also greeted by leaders of Orthodox Jewry in the United States and abroad. Rabbi Eleazar Silver of Springfield. Mass., presided at the sessions.
