The OSE, Jewish health and child welfare organization, has sent to Poland all the funds collected during a recent tour of South American communities by its secretary, Dr. Leo Wulman, it was announced today at a luncheon at the Hotel Biltmore for the delegation of Polish Jewry now visiting the United States The total sent was $50,000.
Dr. Shlomo Hirschenhorn, secretary of the TOZ, the Polish affiliate of the OSE, who is one of the delegates, said that three of every four Jews in Poland requires medical care. Dr. Emil Sommerstein, the leader of the delegation, praised the OSE’s work in Poland, particularly the care given repatriates from Russia.
