At the Congress of Scandinavian Jewish Youth Organizations here, Rabbi Dr. Melchior of Copenhagen spoke on “New Times, New Tasks.”

All affiliated organizations were called upon, in a resolution adopted by the Congress, to work for the Jewish National Fund.

Rabbi Julius Samuel of Oslo, read a paper on the need of changing the occupational structure of the Jewish population in Scandinavian countries, in order to meet new developments. He urged Jews to take up the work of the Chalutzim and to associate themselves with constructive activities in Palestine.

Jewish youth must go back to the sources of Jewish life he said, and Jewish communities must give up the assimilationist conception that they are solely religious communities.
