A resolution which expresses “grave alarm” at the growth of fascist activity and anti-Semitic propaganda in England was today placed before the annual Labor Party conference taking place here.
The resolution asserts that to “passively” allow fascist activities to continue is a “betrayal of the ideas for which the last war was fought and for which so many gave their lives.” It also calls on the government to “render criminal I propagation by writing or from political or public platform” defamatory statements based on race, color or creed. It also urges that any organization which “propagates racial or religious hatred and discrimination” be declared illegal.
