Over 2,000 Jews paid tribute to the late Louis Marshall at a meeting held at The Temple last night. E. M. Baker, president of the Hebrew Charities Federation, Assistant Prosecutor R. D. Hertz, Charles Kreintler, vice-president, International Ladies Garment Workers, and Rabbi A. H. Silver, were the speakers.
The meeting adopted resolutions expressing the sorrow of Cleveland Jewry, which were forwarded to the family of Mr. Marshall.
Steps to perpetuate the name of Louis Marshall were decided upon at a special meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Order Sons of Zion.
The committee voted to have the Order sponsor the formation of special Louis Marshall Camps (lodges) in principal cities of the country.
The first Marshall Camps will be organized in cities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Meetings of state leaders will be called for this purpose in the near future.
