Palestine Arabs to Send New Group to London

The Palestine Arab Executive intends to renew its anti-Zionist propaganda abroad in an intensive manner.

It was stated on good authority that the Executive plans to send a new delegation to London shortly.

GUGGENHEIN AND ROSENBERG DECLARE FOR HOOVER

Daniel Guggenheim and James N. Rosenberg declared themselves for Herbert Hoover in statements issued through the Republican National Committee in New York. Mr. Rosenberg, who was Vice Chairman of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee during the famine relief days after the World War saw personally what Mr. Hoover did, he said, in Russia, Austria and Poland. Herbert Hoover gave the word “tolerance” a new meaning to him, Mr. Rosenberg said.

“I was in Poland in the Winter of 1921 and saw the children of all religious denominations being fed by Mr. Hoover’s American boys without being asked what church they went to,” Mr. Rosenberg continued. “It is not difficult to proclaim tolerance. I saw Mr. Hoover practice it.”

In his statement Mr. Guggenheim said:

“When the campaign started there were many in this State who seized upon two arguments as valid reasons for voting for Governor Smith. Both of them were protests; one was that a vote for Smith was a protest against prohibition, and the other was that a vote for Smith was a protest against religious intolerance. This latter argument was brought forward particularly by people of the Jewish faith whose race has suffered from religious persecution. However, as the campaign progresses the vital issues are being considered by all classes, and protests (no matter how strongly we may feel like protesting) are giving way to our more constructive thoughts.”
