Palestine Budget Shows Deficit; First in Years

For the first time in recent years the Palestine government budget for 1927 showed a considerable deficit.

The figures made known today for the period April to December 1927, disclose a deficit of £ 205,000. During the height of Jewish immigration and the building boom the government showed a surplus of nearly a million pounds.
