A new colony named Beth Joshua (Home of Joshua), in memory of Dr. Joshua Thon, Polish Jewish Parliament Deputy, was founded today in the north of the Sharon plain by 80 Zionist settlers from the Polish Jewish communal settlement, Kibbutz Akiba. They received 1,300 dunams of land from the Jewish National Fund, and 2,000 additional dunams for temporary use.
