The planting of the first 1,000 trees in the United Nations Forest on the land of the Jewish National Fund, has been made possible by a gift of $1,500 to the Fund made by Mr. Isaac Evans, honorary vice-president of the Cleveland Zionist Society. He presented the amount of $1,500 to Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, Rabbi of the Temple, Cleveland, president of the United Palestine Appeal and chairman of the executive committee of the American Zionist Emergency Council.
