The budget of the Palestine administration for 1929 was made public here. Included in the allotments are £103,000 for health, £144,000 for education, £69,000 for agriculture, £368,000 for police and prisons, £145,000 for the maintenance of the Transjordanian frontier force, £31,000 for other defence measures, #163;182,000 for ordinary public works, £328,000 for extraordinary public works and £100,000 for payment on the public debt.
