“Palestine has assumed now, for the first time in history, its rightful role,” declared Rabbi Herman W. Saville, who spoke concerning the “New Palestine” at an open meeting of Concourse Zionist District No. 12 in Temple Adath Israel, Bronx.
“Hitler’s activities have taught us that there must be some haven of refuge for persecuted Jews,” he said. Meyer Goldberg also addressed the meeting, speaking on “Mordecai–the Zionist.”
