Isaac Ben-Zvi, chairman of the Vaad Leumi (Jewish National Council), broadcast an appeal for support of Jewish members of the armed forces, while Moshe Shertok, Dr. L. Altman and Dr. Bardt of the Mizrachi addressed mass meetings in Tel Aviv.
Jewish soldiers will parade tomorrow in Haifa and Tel Aviv. All Hebrew newspapers are publishing editorials on the subject. Central committees of various students’ organizations, sports bodies and other youth groups are appealing for speedy enlistment.
