For the first time in many years the natural increase in Palestine’s Jewish population is greater than the increase through immigration, official statistics for 1937 disclose. The natural increase was 11,762 compared with 5,239 immigrants. The total population at the end of the year was 1,335,000, including 870,000 Moslems, 396,000 Jews, 111,000 Christians and 11,000 others.
