Emil Chouri, a member of the four-man Palestine Arab Higher Committee recently appointed by the Arab League, has left for Alexandria where he will confer on Palestine matters with the Mufti of Jerusalem, who is titular head of the Higher Committee.
The Mufti now has complete freedom to meet and negotiate on political matters, particularly Palestine affairs. He is spending the hot summer months in an Alexandria villa belonging to King Farouk.
Among the problems which Ghouri is expected to discuss with the Mufti is the disquietude among Palestine Arabs as a result of the present Anglo-Jewish conflict, which they feel has virtually removed them from the scene and the internal differences among the Arabs here. A line of action for the Palestine Arabs will probably be drafted in the talks.
