A plea to the Palestine Government to reduce the price of wheat from the present level of $140 per ton to the former price of $84 will be submitted by the municipalities of Palestine’s four largest cities, it was announced here today following a meeting of the mayors of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jaffa.
The meeting was one of the series of consultations held at intervals by the mayors to discuss supply-and-price questions. The meeting also decided to request that the price of fish be fixed.
