The safety of Palestine mortgage investments was emphasized by Solomon Ulmer, well known mortgage banker of this city, speaking at a luncheon given at Hollenden Hotel yesterday, in honor of Judge Bernard A. Rosenblatt of New York, president of the Palestine Securities, Inc.
Mr. Ulmer, who subscribed $5,000 of the mortgage bonds of the company stated in his address:
“I am absolutely convinced of the safety of these first mortgage bonds of Palestine. I am talking now not merely as one who sympathizes with the work done in Palestine but as a man who understands mortgages and who has a reputation to sustain on recommendations for investments.
“I have examined the underlying security behind these mortgage bonds and am convinced they are gilt edged and as safe as the best first mortgage bonds in Ohio. It is for that reason I now subscribe for $5,000 of these mortgage bonds and I am willing to act as chairman of the committee that shall sponsor these mortgage bonds investments in Ohio.”
