British military authorities are now comping the mountains on the Turko-Iran frontier where it is believed the most of Jerusalem is in hiding, it became known here today following a statement made last night in Germans by Anthony Eden, British Foreign Minister.
Eden reported to Commons that the Mufti has until, now eluded all British efforts to seize him. The British and Iranian authorities, Eden said, were exerting all efforts to secure capture of the Mufti.
When asked by Philip Noal-Baker, Laborite, whether the Mufti, when apprehended, would be treated as a declared enemy of England, Eden replied; “We would like to catch him first.”
