The British radio today announced that Haj Amin El Husseini, ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, has been cornered in Iran and is hiding in the Japanese legation in Teheran.
“The Iranian Government, acting upon a demand formulated by the British authorities, has sent a note to the Japanese legation requesting that the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem be delivered,” the announcement of the British radio said. “The ex-Mufti was the main instigator of Arab revolts in Palestine before the war.”
