A meeting of the France-Palestine Committee, which was held here yesterday, listened to a message from Aristide Briand, French Prime Minister, who expressed the French Government’s sympathy with Zionism.

Briand stated in his message that the French Government considers Palestine not a Jewish state but a national home, on condition that the rights of the Arabs are safeguarded.

Messages were also received from President Doumergue, honorary president of the committee, Paul Painleve, Herriot and Leon Blum.
