It was reliably learned that the Palestine Government is preparing new and more rigid restrictions on immigration, including a rule which would make immigration certificates to Americans invalid if not used within four months of issuance.

The contemplated restrictions would invalidate certificates to Europeans after three months and for residents of the Far East after five months. Entry of relatives of Palestine citizens would also be curbed.

Required capital for admission into Palestine under the capitalist category would become $10,000 instead of the present $5,000 minimum. Tourists’ deposits would be increased from $300 to $400.
