The Palestinian Government received the following cablegram from the British Colonial Office:
“Please convey, on behalf of His Majesty’s Government, their sympathy with the relatives of DeHaan. The Government were much concerned to learn of the outrage and trust that the murderers will soon be brought to justice.”
This cable of condolence was delivered personally by Sir Gilbert Clayton, the Civil Secretary of the Palestinian Government, to Rabbi Sonnenfeld, at the Government office.
