An entire tribe of Bedouins, in the neighborhood of Safad, has applied to the Palestinian Government for advice and assistance in its return to Judaism.
The leaders of the tribe, which is named Alsh##ni, declare that according to its tradition, handed down from generation to generation, the tribe is of Jewish descent, and now that the Jewish National Homeland is being rebuilt they want to rejoin the ancient faith of their forefathers.
