A unique double marriage ceremony on a moving train between Haifa and Jerusalem, was performed today when two Jewish young men married two sisters, Guella and Helena Greenberg.
The two girls were to be deported from Palestine on the charge of having illegally entered the country. In order to prevent their deportation, the young men married them on the train, thus officially making them the wives of Palestine citizens. The sisters were, however, imprisoned by the immigration authorities immediately after they left the train.
