The entire Palestinian population is greatly excited over the numerous cases of murder and robbery which have been occurring in the last few weeks, and for which unknown Arab robber bands are held responsible. The Government has been urged to take strong measures to apprehend those responsible for the many crimes.
Seven Arabs suspected of the murder of Karl Tatransky were arrested yesterday. Tatransky and his wife, who are Czechoslovakian Christians, were attacked at their camping place between Nablus and Jenin several days ago. Tatransky died of his wounds, while his wife is in a serious condition. Tatransky, who in a previous cable was reported as Stransky and a Jew, has been identified as a Christian journalist.
