Jewish passengers in buses and cars were searched today, in cities throughout Palestine, as strong police and military forces established cordons around bus stations and main road crossings.
All Jews were ordered to show their identification papers and their parcels were examined in the hunt for the $140,000, robbed earlier in the week from a train near Hadera. No Arabs have been molested.
