Palestinian security forces moderately wounded three bystanders, including two schoolgirls, when they fired at the car of a suspected Hamas militant. Witnesses said about six plainclothes officers opened fire on the car of the suspect when he pulled up Tuesday outside a U.N. clinic north of Gaza City. When he fled inside, the officers gave chase and shot at him again. The man, who worked as a nurse, was said to have escaped with slight injuries to the buttocks.
