Palestinians living in Lebanon’s largest refugee camp denounced Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat for signing the Wye agreement. Protesters at the Ain el-Hilweh camp also burned Israeli and U.S. flags. The Lebanese government views the presence of some 356,000 Palestinian refugees in the country as a destabilizing influence and wants an Israeli-Palestinian agreement that will call for the refugees to leave Lebanon.
