Palestinians protested a reported sale of Greek Orthodox Church properties in Jerusalem to Jews. Ma’ariv reported last Friday that a former aide to the top Greek Orthodox cleric in the holy city, Patriarch Irineos I, had sold two hotels in the Old City’s Jaffa Gate to unnamed foreign Jewish investors for several million dollars.
