Pamken Elected President of American “ort”

Several hundred delegates representing seventeen national, fraternal and labor organizations and more than two hundred locals of Workmen’s Circles and Lansmanschaft organizations were present at the first national conference of the American Society “Ort”, and completed its organization. Judge Jacob Panken was elected President; Max Pine, Judge Aaron J. Levy. Meyer Brown, Asher Jacobson, L. Feinberg, J. Baskin, L. B. Boudin, Dr. A. D. Dubovsky were chosen vice presidents.

The principal address was made by Judge Panken who reviewed, the work of the “Ort” in Europe, and told of the aims of the American organization.
