A Norwegian newspaper predicts that the Norwegian government will pardon Marian Gladnikof, one of the alleged Israeli agents convicted in connection with the murder of a Moroccan citizen and now serving a six-and-a-half year jail sentence here. The Norwegian daily, “Aften Posten,” bases its prediction on the fact that “over the past few years all applications for pardon have been granted.”
Jonas Myhre, Miss Gladnikof’s attorney, has submitted a request for her pardon to Norwegian authorities. It will be up for review before the special judicial committee when this body reconvenes at the end of the summer recess.
Miss Gladnikof and five other alleged Israeli agents were convicted of espionage and complicity in the slaying of a Moroccan waiter, Ahmed Boushicki, at the Lillehammer resort town in eastern Norway last summer. Five of the six received prison sentences ranging from six-and-a-half to nine years. They are all Jewish and claim to be residents of Israel.
