The Association of Doctors in Paris today voted unreserved approval of the action of French students who demanded that foreigners should not be permitted to practice medicine in France even if they are graduates of a French university.

A parliamentary commission today examined the bills submitted to the French Parliament, urging the restriction of rights of foreign and recently naturalized doctors. The commission decided that the restrictions, if adopted, shall not be incorporated into the general law on naturalization, and should be considered “an exceptional measure dictated by present economic conditions.”

Foreigners who have been students in France more than four years shall be exempted from the restrictions prohibiting them from practicing medicine in France, the parliamentary commission recommended.
