M. Leonard Rosenthal, the wealthy Paris diamond merchant and philanthropist, who is known as the “King of Pearls” and who recently wrote a novel which created a stir in literary circles, has bought the Hotel Dufayel in the Champs Elysees for the purpose of constructing on its site the largest theatre in France. The Hotel Dufayel was the International Press Club during the Peace Conference in 1919. M. Rosenthal is putting the sum of 14,000,000 francs into the undertaking.
