The restriction placed by Premier Averescu on parliamentary reporters, especially directed against the Jewish newspapermen, has resulted in a boycott on the part of all the parliamentary reporters against the government party.
The reporters declared that they will not report any of the speeches in parliament made by members of the government party.
The proposal to forbid the Jews from entering the government building to attend the parliamentary sessions was made by Professor Cuza, the leader of the Roumanian anti-Semites. His proposal was accepted, despite the protests of Foreign Minister Duca and the deputies of the opposition.
As a result of the boycott all the newspapers in Roumania today, with the exception of three government organs, appeared without news of parliamentary proceedings. The papers announced that they will not publish any parliamentary reports as long as the strike of the newsparermen continues and the government does not withdraw its restriction against the press representatives.
