Latin American parliamentarians meeting here last weekend adopted a resolution demanding that the Soviet Union honor the 1966 promise of Premier Alexei Kosyigin to permit Russian Jews to emigrate in order to re-unite with their families abroad. The resolution was proposed by the Uruguayan delegation at the Latin American Inter-parliamentary Conference. It was seconded by Costa Rica. Although Mr. Kosygin made his promise in Paris three years ago, so far it has not been carried out by Soviet authorities.
The resolution also demanded that the Soviet Government accord Jews the same cultural rights enjoyed by other ethnic minorities in the USSR. It asked Latin American governments to raise the question of the plight of Russian Jewry at the United Nations through their respective missions.
