A special Passover message in the Russian language was beamed tonight by the Voice of America, the radio facility of the United States Information Agency, after having been recorded by Rabbi George B. Lieberman, of the Central Synagogue (Reform), of Rockville Center, L.I.
In his message, Rabbi Lieberman spoke of the meaning and significance of Passover and voiced satisfaction with the news that Russian Jews were permitted this year to have matzoh baked. He concluded the message with the traditional hope of “next year in Jerusalem.” Rabbi Lieberman has visited Russia twice, the last time as a member of a delegation of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, last summer.
