Paul Newman is opening one of his Hole in the Wall camps for ill children in Israel. The Jordan River Village camp will be the latest in the network of camps the actor and philanthropist started in 1988. The camp is to open by October next year, according to an announcement released after a New York City fund-raiser for the camp on Monday. Others have been founded in the United States, Ireland, Britain and France. Newman helps raise money for the camps, which seriously ill children attend for free, through his lines of food products. Also attending the luncheon was Haim Topol, the Israeli actor and chairman of the board of the Jordan River Village camp.
